Well, I'm finally here... and I love it so far. My trip has been filled with mishaps and awkward moments but they've all been funny. Three white girls walking down the streets is definately a spectacle but I've never felt unsafe. We ventured out on our own on Sunday, it was really scary at first but, we figured it out and it was a good hurdle to get over. Anyway I'll talk to you on skype when we get better internet at our apartment, as for now, the times i can use internet is at my work. Speaking of work.. it's slow as of now.. it's only our second day but, I really believe in what they're doing. They focus on HIV/AIDS prevention and education mostly for the impoverish and most at risk populations. They have a school below us for kids.. they're adorable, we haven't worked with them yet but i'm sure we will. They teach the girls how to sew and they boys basic skills so they can make money later in life. It really is amazing.. anyway I can't wait to talk to you and I love you all!! namaste!
